About Me

Masud Husain, is a digital artist, graphic designer and marketing specialist. His journey in the Arts began at Bard College, New York and culminated in a graphic design degree at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco.

He has co-authored five books on Advertising Art, a subject he remains actively involved with as collector and archivist. Masud has been making hand drawn pen and ink sketches or doodle drawings as well as digital color abstractions since the late 1980s.

At first he was utilizing traditional methods to create his work. Later on his command and ease working in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on the Mac helped him embrace the digital medium.

Digital Color Abstraction Series

Masud's color abstraction series was inspired by the works of Robert Delaunay with his wife Sonia Delaunay and others, who co-founded the Orphism art movement (1912-1914), noted for its use of strong colors and geometric shapes.
